Project Description
For Jason Horn's new web comic titled Power Skull, a custom built, interactive website was needed to adapt to the way users are reading comics on their mobile devices. A swipe enabled gallery of pages or panels was created to enrich the reading experience. The site is fully responsive and creates an environment that mimics a native app experience.
Goals
- Interactive – The site features an innovative look behind the art process. When a reader clicks or taps any page of the comic, there is a fade animation that reveals the different art stages.
- Animation – The site employs animation reveals for content that create visual interest. The Vivus javascript plugin is used to run a drawing animation for embedded SVG artwork.
